Day 1
Welcome to Sri Lanka. On arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport, you will be met by our local representative and transferred to Kandy. Enroute we stop to visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage - which was started in 1975 to house abandoned and the wounded elephants. The number of elephants has increased to more than 65 now, including23 baby elephants born in the captive breeding program. Overnight in Kandy. (D)

Day 2
Today a city tour of Kandy, includes stops at Upper Lake Drive, Market Square and the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic. Ever since the 4th Century A.D., when Buddha’s tooth was brought to Sri Lanka, hidden from sacrilegious hands in an Orissan princess’s hair, this Tooth Relic has grown in holiness throughout the Buddhist world. Day 3
Today’s programme features a drive to Nuwara Eliya, which is also known as ‘Little England’ of Sri Lanka. It is set against beautiful backdrops of mountains, valleys and waterfalls with a temperature like that of an English spring day. All around Nuwara Eliya there is evidence of British influence – such as houses modelled after country cottages, or Queen Ann style mansions. Day 4
Today we drive to Bentota, a resort town on Sri Lanka’s southwest coast. Here we stop at a Turtle Hatchery to see five turtle species: Green Turtles, Hawksbill Turtles, Loggerhead Turtles, Leatherback Turtles and Olive Ridley Turtles. The evening is free for you to enjoy diverse activities in this beach town on your own. Since Bentota Beach is rated among the top five beaches in Sri Lanka, it’s well worth taking a stroll along this sun-kissed shore. Overnight in Bentota. (B, D)

Day 5
Today, we take a guided city tour of Colombo, the Sri Lankan capital. Here there are busy com-mercial areas, as well as quiet, tree-lined residential areas such as Cinnamon Gardens. Today the day is free for you to explore the Maldives on your own. These have been rated as ‘the most beautiful small islands on Earth’ and are safe, without hawkers, without agriculture and without industries! However, the service, the rooms and the cuisine are of international standards. This tropical paradise is known for its white, sandy beaches, blue lagoons and emerald seas. Today the day is free for you to explore the beautiful beaches of the Maldives and indulge in various water sports on your own. Take your pick of water sports that range from swimming, snorkeling and scuba diving, to kite boarding, windsurfing and scuba diving. You can also go sailing in a catamaran and view the riveting Maldives Victory shipwreck or go kayaking, big game fishing or underwater walking. The choice is all yours! Overnight in Maldives.
